Sport Game from EA Sports, by EA Canada
Soccer game featuring authentic teams and players. This version boasts improvements in many areas over the 99 game, most notably the graphics. A greater variety of moves is available. The control system works well. It is now possible to construct more complex attacks on goal. The AI is also good. The game incorporates a comprehensive set of international and leagues sides. And some great teams of the past.
You also choose from a selection of game modes: training, exhibition, league (season) and tournament (including World cup). Notably, there is a new career mode. There is a management component to the game, you decide starting line-up and on-pitch strategy and formation. Alongside the single-player game, there is a strong multi-player mode. The UK version features commentary by John Motson and Chris Waddle, whilst the US version was provided by by Phil Schoen and Julie Foudy.
