Sport Game from Sony Computer Entertainment, by UEP Systems
Snowboarding game that recreates both racing and stunt action. The game offers several improvements and additions over the original. Game options include Freestyle, Big Air, Half-pipe modes, Board Park and Competition.
Freestyle mode is based on score achieved on a range of tracks that combine speed and jumping elements. Scoring takes into account time taken and tricks performed. Big Air is also points-based, although in this mode you perform stunts off a high jump. Half-pipe mode is a new addition and as the name suggests offers stunt action in a large half-pipe. Board Park allows for free play whilst competition offers all the other modes (except Board Park) but in competition against the computer, or another player on a split screen.
There is a choice seven of riders and eighteen boards each with their own subtle handling characteristics. The game's 3D graphics are generally good.
