Soccer management game with authentic teams and players and loads of statistical depth. It is the last installment in the series to be based on the Championship Manager 3 engine. It incorporates numerous refinements over the previous game, as well as updated team line-ups.
Additions include the latest transfers regulations, press reaction, more depth in scouting and contract negotiation and the ability to issue an ultimatum to the board in order to extract extra cash. The scouting options include the ability to assign a scout to watch upcoming opponents for a strategic advantage and the ability to directly compare two players. Another new feature is the ability to appeal to the FA against player bans. The database editor has also been made easier to use. The interface design remains effective.
