Hunting sim with a twist, the prey is dinosaur. Set in the future, the premise is that a planet populated by dinosaurs has been discovered. The DinoHunt Corp enables the rich to hunt this new and challenging prey.
There is a choice of seven types of prey, three weapons (shotgun, crossbow and tranquilizer rifle) and six large environments. Not all of these are available at the outset and must be unlocked. Standard equipment includes a map, compass, wind indicator, binoculars and a dinosaur call. Others, such as the radar and scent cover, are available but using these will reduce your score.
You view the game form a first-person perspective. The game attempts to be realistic and incorporates current scientific thought on the behavior of the dinosaurs. Each species behaves in a distinctive way, adding diversity to the gameplay. The game's graphics were advanced at the time of release.
