Baseball game featuring the authentic teams and players of the MLB. It is also possible to create your own players. The game combines high-quality graphics with effective gameplay. Game options include practice, exhibition match, playoffs and full season. You can play against the computer or with up to three other people. In the season mode you can trade and sign new players and stats and reports on each one are available.
The batting control involves correctly placing a cursor and this system has been improved since the last game in the series. The running, fielding and pitching controls are similarly straightforward. Each pitcher has a selection of pitch type and you also decide the speed. The batter has the option of guessing the pitch type enhancing their chances of hitting the ball. A good replay function is incorporated. A TV-style commentary provided by John Sterling and Michael Kay accompanies play.
