Train sim. It offers a lot of depth, enabling players to get behind the controls of a range of authentic trains. You can choose from challenge and explore modes. The challenges involve completing deliveries and dealing with difficult conditions or systems failures. Explore mode enables you to set the game perimeters and chose your own route.
There are six famous trains recreated, including the Orient Express, the Flying Scotsman and the ultra-modern American Axela. The routes recreated include the Northeast Corridor in the US, the Settle & Carlisle Line in the UK and the Tokyo-Hakone line. Each is recreated in great detail. Full route, terrain, train and challenge editors are incorporated.
You control the trains from inside the cab and all the controls are functional. Radio chatter keeps you informed of developing events. There is also a selection of exterior views. The game's graphics and interface are good.
