Civilian flight sim. Options include free-flight, pre-set challenges and a training mode. More aircraft feature than in the last game. The planes range from the single- and twin-prop planes to jets (including the F/A-18 Hornet), jumbos and a selection of WWII combat aircraft. The landscape is reproduced on a 4m to 1 pixel scale. In all, an impressive 10,000 square miles of the area around Seattle are reproduced. This includes various airports and bases which you can use as starting/finishing points. An important aspect of the game is route-plotting. This is done in 'Airport' mode, which features a vast amount of data.
A range of weather effects are recreated. You can set weather patterns that develop during your flight. The game has a realistic control system. Handling varies according to the type of plane and air conditions. Radio chatter accompanies play. The 3D graphics are good. Multiple camera angles, including a cockpit view, are available.
