Flight Game from Eidos Interactive, by Looking Glass Studios
Second in this series of acclaimed civilian flight sims. The game combines high-quality graphics with realistic aircraft modeling and handling. A good selection of planes are available (from the Trainer 172 to P-51D Mustang).
You can choose between practice, quick flight or full flight options. In the latter mode you must plan your flight using the charts and take into account factors such as fuel requirements and predicted weather etc. Set in the area around San Francisco, an extensive amount of terrain is recreated in detail. The game has a great deal of depth. As expected for a realistic flight sim the game's controls are complex, but effective once mastered.
