Driving Game from Sony Computer Entertainment, by Studio Liverpool
Installment in this successful series of futuristic racers and first to be released for PlayStation 2. The premise is that there is a new league, F9000 and the action is significantly faster than in the previous games. The game features races with sixteen competitors.
Game options include arcade, time trial, elimination, league and endurance modes. Up to four players are supported. The game features a total of forty-five tracks. Weapons power-ups are scattered around the tracks and there are twenty-six different weapons available. The game's graphics are generally impressive. The controls are effective. A range of dance tunes by well-known artists accompanies races.
