Driving Game from Midway Games Inc., by Psygnosis
Version of the highly successful racing game. The game is set in the future and features low-gravity vehicles for high speed racing action. The game offers a selection of vehicles and each team's vehicle has distinctive handling characteristics. Tracks are challenging and well-designed, incorporating some spectacular jumps and tunnel sections.
Weapons and powerups are scattered around the track, spicing up the racing. Among the weapons are mines, homing missiles and quakes (that initiate a ripple down the track before you). There are challenges to work through in order to unlock all the tracks and vehicles. They cover the categories of time trial, race and weapon.
The game boasts stylish design and excellent graphics. The multi-player mode allows up to four players to race on a split screen. Play is accompanied by a beat-driven musical sound track featuring well-known artists such as The Propellerheads and Fluke.
