Driving Game from Psygnosis
Third in this successful series of high speed racing games to appear on the PlayStation. Set in the future you race anti-gravity vehicles. The game offers a range of new tracks and improved graphics.
There are three modes of play, full race, time trial and multi-player. Tracks must be unlocked by qualifying in the top group on each track in a full race. There are three speed classes to work through.
There are eight tracks and a range of vehicles with distinctive handling characteristics to choose from. The tracks are well designed, with twists, turns and jumps. Powerups including weapons, boosts, shields and auto-pilot are scattered on the track.
The multi-player mode allows two to race on a split screen, or up to four to play on two machines via a link-up cable. Races are accompanied by a soundtrack of techno tunes by artists, including The Chemical Brothers, Paul Van Dyk and Sasha.
