Driving Game from Sony Computer Entertainment, by Incognito Studios
This is the first game in a series of action driving games to be released for PlayStation 2. It incorporates general improvements over the previous games, most notably in the graphics and vehicle handling. An all new physics system has been introduced. The gameplay involves driving around and using powerful weapons to take out opponents. The game consists of eight single-player levels and ten multi-player levels.
Single-player options are story (competition to win evil Calypso's contest), challenge (you choose level and character for straightforward fight) and endurance modes. There is a choice of three multi-player game types for up to four people. They are deathmatch, endurance and co-operative story.
The game features 14 vehicles and characters, including many familiar from the earlier games. Vehicles are able to change between various forms. Arenas have multiple levels, many interactive elements and pedestrians. Settings include a carnival in which the ferris wheel can be blown off its mounting.
