Driving Game from Infogrames, by Angel Studios, Inc.
Racing game and part of the long-running Test Drive series. This is the first installment to be released for PlayStation 2. As the name indicates, it features open terrain with checkpoints rather than narrow tracks. The main single-player game is the career mode in which you earn prize money for vehicle upgrades. There is also a two-player mode.
The game features multiple courses set in three locations (Moab, Yosemite National Park and Utah).There is a selection of sixteen authentic off-road vehicles from manufacturers including Jeep, Ford and Dodge. They are divided into two classes based on speed or power. The game boasts realistic physics and effective vehicle handling. The game's 3D graphics are good. The terrain could be more varied.
