Sequel to Sega Rally on Saturn. Sega Rally 2 has already been a great success in the arcades. The game is an arcade-style rally sim that chooses thrills over realism. The game boasts advanced graphics.
There is a choice of vehicles and five tracks to race. The track design is good, offering variety by utilizing a number of alternative routes and weather conditions. The tracks include icy, city and jungle tracks.
The game offers Arcade and Competition modes in which you can time-trial or race. There is also a ten-year Championship option and a two-player mode.
You can customize your cars in various areas to suit the track and weather conditions. To emulate the rally experience, a co-driver issues instructions. A techno-inspired sound track accompanies races (rock-tracks in Japan).
