Arcade-style racing game and sequel to a successful original. The game combines racing and stunt action. Points awarded for successfully performed tricks. The game features many new additions, better graphics and an improved physics model. There is a good selection of game options including single races, full championship, stunt competitions as well as two-player cooperative, tag and stunt games. Sixteen varied vehicles are available in total, each with their own handling characteristics.
The game offers ten all-new tracks which can be reversed or mirrored adding replayability value to the game. Most of the tracks are street courses and settings include the cities of New York and LA. There are also courses designed for stunt action, such as the half-pipe. The courses are well-designed, featuring jumps, obstacles, multiple paths and secret areas. The game's graphics are good with both vehicles and environments rendered in good detail. A range of fitting sound effects and techno-style tunes accompany play.
