Driving Game from Electronic Arts
Arcade-style motorbike racing game with action component. The premise is that the characters belong to one of four distinctive gangs. They embark on street races trying to take each other out and avoid getting caught by the cops. The tracks are alive with other traffic. Players can use weapons such as crowbars, or simply punch and kick rival drivers.
The game employs simplified physics and easy-to-use controls. Game options include time trial, single tracks and championships. In championship mode you earn cash for better bikes. The multi-player mode enables up to eight players to compete via modem connection or LAN. In all, around twenty are available, including Sport and Super Bikes. The game incorporates punk music by well-known artists. As expected, the sprite-based graphics now look dated.
