Driving Game from Namco
Installment in this highly successful series of racing games, it is the first available for the next generation of consoles. The game offers advanced graphics and more subtle vehicle handling characteristics than the previous games in the series. Vehicles and environments are rendered in great detail and the impressive lighting effects are showcased in the different times of day reproduced.
There are seven tracks incorporated and they can also be raced in reverse. The main single-player game options is Grand Prix mode, which allows you to unlock many new vehicles as you progress. Other options include Time Attack and Duel Modes. You can customize your vehicle with new paint jobs and upgrades. You can also race against other players on a split screen. The car physics and controls are effective. A selection of high-energy tunes accompany play.
