Part of this highly-successful series of racing games. This game features Porsches exclusively, with some 40 different models recreated (dating from the late 1940s to the present day).
The main single player game has a novel structure, you begin your career in 1948 as a Porsche test driver and aim to keep your job until the year 2000. In the late stages you'll be behind the wheel of the latest models. You'll be pitted against a small number of other drivers in challenging races. An important element of the game is that you can customize the set-up of your car and make other improvements. The game employs cash reward and experience point systems, these allow you to purchase new vehicles and marks the development of your career.
The game boasts a good physics engine and the controls are effective. The graphics are impressive with cars, drivers and backgrounds rendered in good detail.
