Driving Game from Electronic Arts
Second in this series of popular racing games that offer high-paced racing action and feature real cars. You choose from arcade or sim modes or a third intermediate choice, 'wild mode'. There are eight authentic cars available, including the Ferrari F50, McLaren Mercedes F1, Lotus Espirit V8 and the Ford GT90. Notably, the road tracks of the first game have been dispensed with, and there are eight purpose-designed, oval race tracks to choose from. Settings vary from a speedway stadium to the icy mountains of Tibet. The multi-player mode allows two people to race on a split screen or up to eight to race via modem/serial connection or LAN.
