Driving Game from Sony Computer Entertainment
Innovative racing game. Set in the future, the premise is that racers compete in special suits with wheels that enable them to travel at super-fast speeds rather than vehicles. The racing suits enable racers to travel along the walls of courses, and even the ceiling. You can attack nearby opponents and perform a variety of stunts. Power-ups are scattered around the twelve available courses.
Game options include single-player championship and two-player versus modes. The games graphics and controls are effective. Tracks incorporate many twists, turns, jumps and short-cuts. The racers themselves are divided into three weight-based categories (classic, lightweight and heavyweight) and the weight of a character effect handling. Races are accompanied by a range of beat-driven tunes, including some by well-known artists, such as Hybrid.
