Driving Game from Rockstar Games, by DMA Design
Action-driving game. A major improvement over the first game is in the modeling of the gangs who control the city. There are seven gangs in all including the Russian Mafia and even the Krishnas! Gangs defend their areas vigorously and bear a grudge if crossed.
You can pick and choose missions. These include stealing cars, delivering money and assassinating rivals. You build up a reputation as you pull off various jobs. The city is more 'alive' than previously. Also, muggers, assassins and have-a-go-heroes mingle among the pedestrians. Another innovation is that if driving a city bus or taxi it is possible pick up paying fares! There are some 60 types of drivable vehicle and a comprehensive range of weaponry. Four levels of law enforcement feature, including the FBI and army.
The graphics are significantly better than those of the original game, they have a more 3D feel to them, although the game view is still basically top-down.
