Installment in the series of Formula 1 racing sims. It features a full selection of authentic teams, drivers, cars and tracks. The game offers a lot of depth with extensive game and vehicle customization available. Race strategy is recreated, with pit-stops playing an important part.
Options include quick race, challenge and career modes. There is a strong two-player mode. The game employs a modified version of the engine used in the last game (F1 Championship Season 2000). It boasts realistic vehicle physics and the weather conditions effect car handling. You can chose between normal and simulation handling, depending on the realism level wanted. The game's graphics and AI are good.
