Driving Game from Interplay, by Stainless Software Ltd.
High-speed and violent driving game. You play one of two characters, Max Damage or Die Anna. The single-player game is based on a ranking system. You must do well in street races of a set number of laps in order to move up the rankings and earn credits to upgrade your vehicle. There is also a system of checkpoints and time limits. You get extra credits and time for successfully performing stunts or acts of wanton destruction, such as mowing down pedestrians.
There is a range of weapon and other powerups scattered around the tracks. Some of these are helpful, whilst some are negative, like super gravity or jelly suspension.
Three difficulty levels add replayability value. The game also offers a multi-player mode up to six people (over LAN). The game employs arcade-like physics. The graphics, controls and audio are good.
