Driving Game from Sony Computer Entertainment, by Rainbow Studios
4x4 racing game. You choose from a selection of authentic vehicles. Extensive vehicle customization options are also available. Game options include training mode, freestyle, cross-country, maxxis nationals and stadium supercross competitions, and a pro-career mode.
In the freestyle competition you race over five tracks gaining points for tricks performed. The cross-country event is an endurance race. Maxxis nationals races are first-past-the-post affairs, with less of an emphasis on checkpoints than some of the other modes. The pro-career mode mixes the various event types. Alongside the single-player game, is a multi-player mode, for up to four people.
The tracks cover both indoor and outdoor environments. They are well-designed, incorporating many twists, turns, short-cuts and jumps. The game features good vehicle physics and handling.
