Arcade Game from Sega, by Sonic Team
3D platform game. It is a special edition of the Dreamcast release, 'Sonic Adventure 2'. The Gamecube version of the game incorporates same general improvements and new multi-player options. You can select from race, deathmatch and treasure hunt.
In the main game you get to play a selection of characters (Sonic, Tails or Knuckles or the baddies; Shadow, Rogue and Dr Robotnik aka Dr Eggman). Each has their own abilities and weapons and the objectives for each level relate to these. The game has a purely linear structure.
An important addition is the Chao virtual pet. You must take care of the pets and can unlock new abilities for them. The treatment they receive affects their developing personality and they can be used in battles.
The game's 3D graphics are good and the controls are effective. The camera system could be better.
