Adventure Game from Interplay
The Ultimate Wizardry Archives is a compilation consisting of all seven Wizardry games together with Wizardry Gold (an updated version of Wizardry 7). The games are all set in an original fantasy universe that combines magic and technology. As well as traditional RPG races, such as dwarves and elves, there are new types (dracons, lizardmen etc) and even aliens. The games all offer a huge number of character options with occupations such as bishop, mage, alchemist, bard and psionic.
All the games have huge gameworlds with lots of exploration, combat and puzzle-solving. Interaction with NPCs is also an important element oft the gameplay. The game's have strong stories. The first five games are simple text-based affairs with line maps. The later games are played from a first-person perspective and employ basic graphics. The games all offer a lot of depth but the retro looks of the early games is likely to appeal to die-hard fans only.
