Adventure Game from Eidos Interactive, by Core Design
Action adventure game. You guide Lara Croft through various archaeological sites searching for treasure, whilst encountering hostile creatures and puzzles along the way. The various missions are set within a wider narrative that is unraveled in FMV sequences between levels.
Lara has a wide range of moves, including the ability swim and hang of ledges. She also carries weapons, starting with a pair of pistols and working up to an Uzi.
The 3D environments and character animation were state of the art at the time of release. The sound effects are adequate and there is an understated movie-like score.
