Adventure Game from Eidos Interactive, by Timeline Computer Entertainment
Action adventure game based on a novel of the same name by Michael Crichton, it was also developed by his company and with his involvement. Set in a near future where time travel has become a reality, you play a student named Christopher Hughes who must embark on a journey back in time to rescue his professor, lost in a previous trip.
The action is set in mid-fourteenth century France, during the Hundred Years War. You view the game from a first-person perspective. Gameplay involves exploration, combat, puzzle-solving and interaction with NPCs. You'll also face a variety of challenges, including participating in a jousting competition. Whilst it will be necessary to engage in combat, killing is not allowed because of its consequences to the timeline. Weapons include a sword, stun arrows and the more modern taser. The game boasts good graphics.
