RPG set in a fantasy version of feudal Japan. The premise is that the Shogun has been possessed by a malevolent force resulting in a reign of terror.
You have a choice of four clans. You then control a band of seven Samurai warriors of different rank and skills (archer, berserker, ninja, swordsman, brick, wizard and leader). The premise is that these warriors are on a quest to defeat the forces of the Dark Warlord. You control them directly four at a time and can switch between them freely. Combat is an important part in the gameplay. You explore the landscapes facing enemies, completing sub-quests and collecting useful items.
There is an innovative multi-player mode, for up to eight players. In online games, when a player defeats the Dark Warlord he assumes the Warlord role and has to defend his position, resulting in a strong competitive element.
