Part of this successful series of adventure games. The game is set in the near future, after a nuclear, and you play Tex Murphy, a private detective. The game combines a strong story, partially developed through high-quality cutscenes, with playability.
The story revolves around a conspiracy of a group of people to wipe out the mutants created by the war. The gameplay consists of exploring the well-rendered environments collecting clues, solving challenging puzzles and interacting with a strong cast of NPCs. There are also action elements, for instance you'll have to avoid detection and sneak into some areas. There is also some shooting. A good hint system is incorporated to prevent you getting stuck. The interface and point-and-click control system are effective. The graphics and audio are now somewhat dated when compared to more recent titles.
