Adventure Game from Access Software
Adventure game and sequel to Tex Murphy Under a Killing Moon. Set in the near future, after a third World War, the story concerns the mystery of the Roswell. You play private investigator Tex Murphy, who is engaged to find a missing scientist named Thomas Malloy. The investigation takes Tex around the globe uncovering evidence. The plot is largely developed through good FMV cutscenes.
The game combines interactive movie elements with numerous well-designed puzzles. You'll converse with numerous NPCs during the game and a good checklist system help you keep track of the information gathered. There is also some shooting.
You view the action from a first-person perspective and the game employs an easy-to-use interface and control system. The graphics are good for a game of its age. An extensive range of sound effects, including numerous speech samples and music, accompany play. The voice acting is of a high standard.
