Adventure Game from Konami
Traditional RPG set in a medieval-inspired fantasy universe. It combines a strong, twisting plot with well-balanced gameplay. You take the role of a son of a general who end up leading an army to save the emperor from the influence of an evil sorceress. With a castle as a base you can recruit characters to join your party and over a hundred distinctive characters are available. Up to six characters can be in the party at any one time. You'll also get to command an entire army at points, with thousands of units.
Combat is conducted at three levels, individual, party and army. Magic plays an important role, alongside conventional weapons. The spell system revolves around the four element of wind, fire, water, and wind. The game employs sprite-based 2D graphics, which look a bit dated. However the design is good and there are some good visual elements, particularly the spell effects. An excellent musical score accompanies play.
