Adventure Game from Sega, by AM2
This game combines RPG, adventure and fighting game elements. You play a young man named Ryo Hazuki who embarks on a journey to find his father killer. He has lots of martial-arts style moves at his disposal. The game creates a realistic virtual environment and you can interact with hundreds of NPCs. Time passes in the game and the time of day effects where you can go, what you can do and who you can speak to. A notebook helps you to keep track of information gathered and your next objective.
The game features numerous mini-games. For instance there is a virtual arcade in which you can play old games by Shenmue's creator Yu Suzuki. The game boasts excellent graphics, lots of cutscenes and great depth (it spreads over 4 disks). Characters are rendered in fine detail and even facial movements are reproduced. Up to 15 further chapters are planned.
