Innovative RPG. The game has a modern setting and the story revolves around a search for a cure for an unknown disease. The main characters are teenage kids and you take the role of student Tatsuya Suou. In order to lift the curse of the disease the kids must collect human dreams in order to open the Gate of Heaven.
The gameplay consists of exploration, combat, interacting with NPCs, developing your character, collecting items and puzzle-solving. Combat involves both conventional weapons and magical spells and is turn-based. Some changes have been made to the system since the first game. You can also collect components of spells which make them more powerful. The action is viewed from a variety of perspectives, mostly a slightly overhead third-person view is employed, but dungeon sections are viewed from a first-person perspective. The game's graphics and control system are effective.
