Adventure Game from Capcom
Action adventure game. It combines a strong story, good gameplay and spectacular graphics. Even before its release the game won awards for the animation of cut sequences. The game is played from a third-person perspective.
The game is set in 16th Century Japan against a backdrop of warlords battling for supremacy. You take the role of a samurai warrior named Samanosuke Akechi. He is armed with a magical gauntlet that consumes the souls of those it kills, giving Samanosuke access to special powers. When an enemy is killed he emits three types of energy, yellow (health), blue (magic) and red (enables you to make items more powerful when used with magic mirror). Magic mirrors are scattered through the levels, they can be used in several ways, including as a save point. The voice-acting accompanying the cutscenes could be better.
