Adventure Game from GT Interactive, by Oddworld Inhabitants
Acclaimed platform game. It combines innovative gameplay and a rich gameworld with good graphics and design. The unlikely hero Abe is a member of the Mudokon race. He begins the game enslaved by a race called the Glukkons. The game's strong story revolves around Abe's discovery that the Glukkons have decided to make a new tasty snack from the Mudokons and Abe's quest to save them.
The game combines platform gameplay and puzzles. An innovative feature is the 'Game Speak' system that allows Abe to interact with the other characters and issue commands to the Mudokons he is trying to rescue.
Abe has loads of moves, including the abilities to run, climb and shimmy along ledges. He also has the power to take control of the minds of certain types of creatures. Apart from the odd weapon scattered around Abe must rely on his wits to get through levels and lead the Mudokons to safety. Two players can participate in a cooperative mode in which they take turns.
