Adventure Game from 3DO, by New World Computing
RPG and part of a popular and long-running series. The most notable difference of this installment, compared to its predecessors, is that it is a real-time game (although in combat you can choose between turn-based and real-time options). The action is viewed from a first-person perspective.
The game combines a strong story with a large, well-designed gameworld and effective combat and character development systems. The game offers a selection of pre-set characters or you can define your own. The character creation and development systems allow for a lot of variation and other differently-skilled characters make up your party. There are many sub-quest incorporated into the game. During the game you'll encounter numerous NPCs to interact with and the voice-acting is generally good. The game combines 2D and 3D graphical elements. The graphics are adequate, although they now look a bit dated.
