Follow-up to the highly successful Mario Party. The game offer fun multi-player action and an improved single-player mode. It features six new boards with designs featuring space and western themes. There are 64 mini-games, some 40 of which are new. Characters now wear costumes. The gameplay consists of moving around the board collecting coins and stars and encountering various features including obstacles. The number of spaces moved decided randomly at beginning of each turn. The game features 64 mini-games, most of which are new. They are varied and include races, speed and memory challenges. They involve players taking part in various combinations and include team play. The game's graphics and audio are slightly improved over the original.
