Adventure Game from Working Designs, by Kadokawa
Version of an original RPG that appeared in the early 1990s. The graphics and plot have been somewhat modified. Good cutscenes now intersperse the action. A new interface and menu have been added to the game. The AI has been improved.
You play a young warrior named Alex who embarks on a quest with a group of friends. Characters have their own skills and equipment and magic spells are accumulated as the game progresses. During the game the member of your party interact with each other and various NPCs. The dialogue is well-written with numerous humorous touches. The large gameworld, rendered in 2D, is bright and colorful. The game has a strong plot. Combat is turn-based.
The game retains a somewhat old-school appearance. The audio includes numerous speech samples.
