Strategy game with RPG element set in a magical fantasy universe. You take the role of a young warrior named Ramza, who embarks on an epic struggle against evil. Other characters will join him and all of them improve their skills with experience. There are loads of different characters classes and skills incorporated. The gameplay is divided into two main sections; visiting settlements and battles. In settlements you stock up on equipment and interact with the NPCs there. The battles take place on a 3D battlefield and typically involve using five or so characters in a particular way to counteract an enemy's strength. You move between the various areas via a large-scale map. The game offers considerable depth combined with effective graphics and controls.
