Adventure Game from Eidos Interactive, by Square Electronic Arts
This installment in this long-running series of RPGs, is the first to be available for PC as well as PlayStation. You control a character named Cloud Strife, a young warrior-turned mercenary. The game consists of various missions of increasing complexity culminating with a face off against the evil boss. The game is set in a very large and lively world filled with multitudinous types of creature. There is a strong narrative that ties the missions together. The game has an essentially linear structure, although there are some choices along the way.
