Fourth installment in this series of acclaimed adventure games. The game boasts the same excellent design, engaging gameplay and strong cast of characters as the previous games but marks the transition to 3D graphics. You again play Guybush Threepwood. The game's strong story revolves around disorder that has broken out on the Island whilst Guybush and Elaine were off on honeymoon. A new governor has taken control.
As in the earlier games the gameplay involves exploration, puzzle solving and interacting with NPCs. The game uses a new and effective control system designed for use with a gamepad rather than a mouse. The game employs a modified version of the Grim Fandango engine (known as the second generation GRIME engine) for 3D graphics and improved animation over the last game in the series.
