Adventure Game from Nintendo, by Rare
3D platform game featuring the famous Nintendo character. The game that uses the same game engine as the highly successful Banjo and Kazooie.
There are five playable Kong characters (Donkey, Tiny, Chunky, Lanky and Diddy). Each has their own abilities and in each level there are tasks that only a particular character can complete. You find the characters and discover new moves as the game progresses. You also get to play your animal buddies, like Rambi the rhino and Engarde the swordfish.
The gameworld is rendered in lavish detail. Settings include jungle, a creepy castle and underwater. The gameplay involves exploration, item collection and avoiding or defeating enemies. There are numerous bosses and mini-games incorporated in the game. A new addition to the gameplay is the use of weapons such as a orange grenades. Of particular note are two complete early Nintendo games; Jetpac and a version of an early Donkey Kong arcade game.
