Action-oriented RPG. Set in four locations (dungeons, catacombs, caves and hell), there are lots of enemies to battle. The player has a choice of three character classes (Warrior, Rogue or Sorcerer). A range of innovative magical items is incorporated.
The main quest is to prevent the evil entity, Diablo, from entering the world. The game consists of 16 areas and a notable feature of the game is its random generation of quests, monster distribution and level design. The strong multi-player mode supports up to 4 players (via LAN, Net etc) and the game is popular for online gaming. Played on an isometric landscape, the game graphics and controls are effective.
