Traditional RPG set in a magical universe. The main character is a dragon-human hybrid named Ryu. This old game features 2D graphics. It is played on an isometric landscape. Ryu is joined by other characters. Each has their own abilities. The gameplay involves exploration, turn-based combat, item collection/use and interaction with NPCs. The plot of Breath of Fire 2 sees Ryu reunited with his sister who he rescues from an evil character (named Beak). However, a new mystery unfolds involving the amnesia of their fellow villagers.
