Battle Isle 4: The Andosia War |
Adventure Game from Blue Byte Software, by Cauldron Ltd.
Strategy game that combines turn-based and real-time gaming elements. It is the fourth title in the Battle Isle series. The premise is that the evil High Priestess has harnessed the power of a new element, Andosia, and has unleashed her army (known as the Children of Harris) on her enemies. The single-player game consists of 23 missions in which you can play either side in the war. There is also a strong multi-player mode for up to eight people over LAN or Net.
The gameplay involves harvesting and managing resources, building up you forces and combat. Some 60 different unit and building types are available. You have a HQ and must link all your buildings with energy relay posts. Turns must be completed in a limited time, adding momentum to the game. The game boasts good 3D graphics and an effective interface/control system.
