Adventure Game from Interplay, by I-Motion
Third in this successful series of supernatural-themed action adventure games loosely based on the books by H.P Lovecraft. Set in the 1920s, you play detective Edward Carnby as he investigates the disappearance of a movie crew from a deserted town, called Slaughter Gulch, located on the San Andreas Fault. As before, the gameplay involves exploring the environments, gathering clues, interacting with a cast of well-developed NPCs, puzzle solving and combat. The game employs a combination of 3D characters and bit-mapped backgrounds that now looks a bit dated.
