Fighting game based on the popular TV show. Game options include a single-player story mode and a multi-player mode (for up to four people). There is also a practice mode. The story mode is divided into a series of battles connected by an overall narrative. The game's premise is that Xena, with the help of her allies, must fight to save the world from the forces of darkness.
The multi-player options are deathmatches and roster mode, in which each player nominates four characters and can switch between them during matches or choose to have a computer-controlled team-mate.
In all there are twelve playable characters, including Xena, Gabrielle, Lao Ma, Joxer and Velasca. All the characters have good range of moves and abilities. The controls are effective. Lots of weapons are incorporated into the game, including swords, staffs and a chakram. The game boasts good 3D graphics and smooth character animation.
