Action Game from Capcom
Fighting game and part of a highly successful series. The premise is that a large group of fighters are gathered together to compete in an international martial arts tournament.
The game offers a massive choice of characters, 33 playable characters in all. Most are familiar from the earlier incarnations of the game. To add further diversity an new system (ISM Select) allows each fighter to function in three subtly different ways. You choose one of these three modes after selecting your character.
The game uses a fairly complex control system that allows you to pull of a wide variety of moves.
Game options include Tournament and World Tour. In World Tour mode you choose opponents, via a world map, and fight to gain new special abilities. Various bout types are included, such as time attack bouts and others where only power moves work. There is also a multi-player mode.
