Action Game from Activision, Inc., by Big Ape Productions
Wrestling game based on the hit cartoon series. It offers a selection of 13 playable characters, with many more featuring in the game as a whole. Each character has their own special moves related to their well known traits, for instance Bart can attack with his skateboard and Barney with noxious burps! Each competitor has a health meter, that moves depending on how well they are doing. Power-ups materialize randomly and these enable special moves.
Many well known locations from the series also feature as arenas in the game, including the Kwik-E-Mart and Moe's bar. Game options are practice, challenger circuit, champion circuit and defender circuit. You can play against the computer or another player. The game's graphics and controls could be better. A range of sound effects, voice samples and music are included. As expected, there are many humorous touches.
